Moon wrasses adults have striking blue-green bodies adorned with fine pink vertical lines. They belong to the same Labridae family as the well-known Napoleon wrasse, which their body patterns change a lot at from juvenile to adults and between sexes. They are highly alert and move swiftly through coral communities. They are usually seen alone, though sometimes they can be spotted in small groups.
